Boronia Multicultural Services is a non-profit community organization advocating for the interests of refugees and migrants during the settlement process and in any circumstances where support and assistance is needed to overcome adversity.
Located in the Holroyd Parramatta area, BMS provides practical support to marginalized groups in the area as a way of helping people overcome barriers to participation in the economic, social and cultural life of Australia.
BMS Objectives:
* Identify the needs of families from refugee and migrant backgrounds and to develop
appropriate services in response to those needs.
* Recognise and support cultural diversity and social equity within Holroyd and Parramatta.
Promote access for families of refugee and migrant backgrounds to local Government and
community services in Holroyd and Parramatta, in line with the principles of access and equity
and social justice.
* Provide an avenue for information sharing and community education.
* Assist ethnic communities to develop their organisational structure in order to participate more
effectively in Australian society.
